Carbon Steel Products

Carbon steel is an iron-carbon alloy with a carbon content of 0.0218%~2. 11%, also called carbon steel. The higher the carbon content in carbon steel, the greater the hardness and the higher the strength, but the lower the plasticity. Carbon steel can be divided into three types: carbon structural steel, carbon tool steel and free-cutting structural steel according to the purpose; it can be divided into open hearth steel and converter steel according to the smelting method; it can be divided into boiling steel and killed steel according to the deoxidization method, semi-killed steel and special killed steel; according to the carbon content, it can be divided into low carbon steel, medium-carbon steel and high-carbon steel. The main components of carbon steel are six elements: iron, carbon, silicon, manganese, sulfur and phosphorus. Carbon steel is the most commonly used ordinary steel. It is easy to smelt, easy to process, cheap, and can meet the requirements of use in most cases, so it is widely used. According to different carbon content, carbon steel is divided into low carbon steel (C is 0.25%), medium carbon (C is 0.25-0.6%) and high carbon steel (C > 0.6%).

Carbon Steel Plate

The meaning of S355J2 N hot roll sheet:
“S ” is short for structural steel; “355 ” refers to the minimum yield strength (MPa) for the steel thickness ≤ 16mm; “ J2 ” indicates the quality grade related to charpy impact test energy values (27J, tested at temperature -20 ℃ ); 1.0577 is the steel number of S355J2.

Carbon Steel Coil

Steel coil, also known as coil steel. The steel is hot-pressed and cold-pressed into rolls. In order to facilitate storage and transportation, it is convenient to carry out various processing (such as processing into steel plates, steel strips, etc.). Formed coils are mainly hot rolled coils and cold rolled coils. Hot rolled coil is a processed product before billet recrystallization. Cold rolled coil is the subsequent processing of hot rolled coil. The general weight of steel coil is about 15-30T. This year, my country’s hot-rolled production capacity has continued to expand. There are already dozens of hot-rolled production lines, and some projects are about to start construction or put into production.

Cold rolled steel is produced by cold rolling. Cold rolling is a steel plate that further thins the No.1 steel plate to a target thickness at room temperature. Compared with hot-rolled steel sheet, cold-rolled steel sheet is more precise in thickness, smooth and beautiful in surface, and has a variety of superior mechanical properties, especially in processing performance. It is mainly used in construction, light industry, automobile, agriculture, animal husbandry, fishery and commerce. Among them, the construction industry is mainly used to manufacture anti- corrosion industrial and civil building roof panels, roof grilles, etc. The light industry uses them to make household appliances shell, civil chimneys, kitchen appliances, etc. The automotive industry is mainly used to manufacture corrosion-resistant parts of cars, etc. Agriculture, animal husbandry and fisheries are mainly used for food storage and transportation, meat and aquatic products freezing processing equipment, and commerce is mainly used as material storage. Transportation, packaging, etc.

Carbon Steel Pipe

Carbon steel pipes are made of steel ingots or solid round steel through perforation into capillary tubes, and then made by hot rolling, cold rolling, or cold drawing.
Carbon steel pipes are divided into two types: hot-rolled and cold-rolled (drawn) steel pipes.

Hot-rolled carbon steel pipes are divided into general steel pipes, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipes, high-pressure boiler steel pipes, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, petroleum cracking pipes, geological steel pipes, and other steel pipes.

In addition to general steel pipes, low and medium pressure boiler steel pipes, high-pressure boiler steel pipes, alloy steel pipes, stainless steel pipes, petroleum cracking pipes, and other steel pipes, cold-rolled (dial) carbon steel pipes also include carbon thin-walled steel pipes, alloy thin-walled steel pipes, rust thin-walled steel pipes, and special-shaped steel pipes.

The outer diameter of hot-rolled seamless pipe is generally greater than 32 mm, and the wall thickness is 2.5–75 mm. The outer diameter of cold-rolled seamless steel pipe can reach 6 mm, and the wall thickness can reach 0.25 mm. The outer diameter of thin-walled pipe can reach 5 mm, and the wall thickness is less than 0.25 mm. Cold rolling has higher dimensional accuracy than hot rolling.

General carbon steel pipe: It is made of high-quality carbon steel such as 10, 20, 30, 35, 45, 16Mn, 5MnV, and other low-alloy structural steels, or 40Cr, 30CrMnSi, 45Mn2, 40MnB, and other alloy steels that are hot-rolled or cold-rolled. 10, 20, and other low-carbon steel seamless pipes are mainly used for fluid-conveying pipelines. Seamless tubes made of medium-carbon steel such as 45 and 40Cr are used to manufacture mechanical parts, such as stressed parts of automobiles and tractors.

Generally, carbon steel pipes are used to ensure strength and flattening tests. Hot-rolled steel pipes are delivered in a hot-rolled or heat-treated state; cold-rolled steel pipes are delivered in a heat-treated state.

Carbon steel pipe is a commonly used industrial pipe, which is widely used in construction, manufacturing, and other fields due to its low price and high strength.

Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe

Carbon steel seamless steel pipe is a long strip of steel with a hollow section and no joints around it. The steel pipe has a hollow section and is widely used as a pipeline for transporting fluids, such as pipelines for transporting oil, natural gas, gas, water, and certain solid materials.

Compared with solid steel such as round steel, the steel pipe has the same flexural and torsional strength and is lighter in weight. It is an economical section steel and is widely used in the manufacture of structural parts and mechanical parts, such as oil drill pipes, automobile drive shafts, bicycle racks, and steel scaffolding used in building construction, etc.

The use of steel pipes to manufacture ring parts can improve the utilization rate of materials, simplify the manufacturing process, save materials and processing man-hours, such as rolling bearing rings, jack sets, etc., which have been widely used to manufacture steel pipes.

Steel pipe is also an indispensable material for various conventional weapons, and gun barrels, barrels, etc., must be made of steel pipes.

Steel pipes can be divided into round pipes and special-shaped pipes according to the shape of the cross-sectional area. Due to the condition that the circumferences are equal, the circular area is the largest, and more fluids can be transported with circular tubes. In addition, when the ring section is subjected to internal or external radial pressure, the force is relatively uniform, so most steel pipes are round pipes.

The use of steel pipes to manufacture ring parts can improve the utilization rate of materials, simplify the manufacturing process, save materials and processing man-hours, such as rolling bearing rings, jack sets, etc., which have been widely used in steel pipes.

Carbon Steel Welded Pipe

Welded steel pipe is carbon structural steel (GB/700-2006). Welded steel pipe is also called welded pipe. It is a steel pipe made of steel plate or strip steel after crimping and welding. Welded steel pipe has a simple production process, high production efficiency, more varieties and specifications, and less equipment investment, but its general strength is lower than seamless steel pipe.

Welded steel pipe has a simple production process, high production efficiency, more varieties and specifications, and less equipment investment, but its general strength is lower than seamless steel pipe. Q—yield, 235—is the minimum yield point (σs) value of the grade.

This kind of steel is generally smelted by a converter or open-hearth furnace. The main raw material is molten iron plus scrap steel. The sulfur and phosphorus content in the steel is higher than that of high-quality carbon structural steel. Generally, sulfur is ≤ 0.050%, and phosphorus is ≤ 0.045%. The content of other alloying elements brought into the steel by raw materials, such as chromium, nickel, and copper, generally does not exceed 0.30%.

According to the composition and performance requirements, the grades of this type of steel are Q195, Q215A, B, Q235A, B, C, D, Q255A, B, Q275, and other steel grades. Note: “Q” is the capital letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word “Qu” for yield. The subsequent number is the minimum yield point (σs) value of the brand, and the subsequent symbols are determined according to the content of impurity elements (sulfur, phosphorus) in the steel. From high to low and with the change of carbon and manganese elements, it is divided into A, B, C, D, and so on.

This type of steel has the largest output and is widely used. It is mostly rolled into plates, profiles (round, square, flat, crafted, grooved, angled, etc.), and profiled, as well as welded steel pipes. It is mainly used in building structures such as factories, bridges, ships, etc., and in general pipelines for conveying fluids. Such steels are generally used directly without heat treatment.

Q235 welded steel pipe is used to convey low-pressure fluid. Generally, welded pipes are made of Q195A, Q215A, Q235A steel. It can also be manufactured from other mild steels that are easy to weld. Steel pipes are subject to water pressure, bending, flattening, and other tests and have certain requirements for surface quality. Usually, the delivery length is 4–10 m, and it is often required to deliver in fixed lengths by the nominal diameter (mm or inch). The nominal diameter is different from the actual one.

The welded pipe has two types of ordinary steel pipe and thickened steel pipe according to the specified wall thickness. The steel pipe is divided into two types: threaded and unthreaded according to the pipe end form.
