Wire Rod Metal Mesh Products
Wire Rod, also known as wire, usually refers to a small diameter round steel plate. The wire rod diameter is in the range of 5-19 mm (usually 6-9 mm), with the lower limit being the minimum size of the hot rolled steel section. High-strength prestressed steel wire is a kind of economical and efficient steel material, which has the characteristics of high tensile strength and yield strength, good plasticity, and low relaxation property. It is widely used in cement products, bridges, nuclear power plants, high-rise long-span buildings, highways, and other constructions.
Wire Rod is a small diameter round steel, with the commercial form being rolled disk supply. On construction sites, common diameters are 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm, mostly low-carbon steel. It is generally not used for the main bar in reinforced concrete structures but is more commonly used for steel sleeves, as well as small diameters used in brick and concrete structure “brick reinforcement.”
There are many kinds of wire rods. Carbon steel wire rod in low-carbon steel is commonly known as soft, while medium and high-carbon steel wire rods are commonly known as hard line. Wire Rod is mainly used for drawing blanks but can also be directly used as construction materials and processed into mechanical parts.
Stainless steel wire rod is used for manufacturing stainless steel wire, stainless steel spring wire, stainless steel wire, and stainless steel wire rope. With the development of production technology, square, hexagonal, sector, and other shaped cross-section wire rods have been produced. The upper limit of diameter has been extended to 38 mm, and the disc weight has been increased from 40-60 kg to 3,000 kg. Due to the development of new post-rolling heat treatment processes, the scale of iron oxide on the surface of wire rods is significantly reduced, and the microstructure and properties are greatly improved.
Carbon Steel Wire Rod
Hard wire wire rod, referred to as hard wire, refers to high-quality carbon steel wire rod with high carbon content. It is mainly used for the production of carbon structural steel wire, bead wire, steel wire rope, spring, steel core aluminum stranded wire, prestressed steel wire, steel nails, etc.
Carbon Steel Wire Rod Material and Application:
- A. 45#, 50#, 55#, 60#, 65#, 70#: These are used to make various steel nails, steel wire ropes, steel strands, hose steel wires, bead steel wires, spring steel wires, etc.
- B. XGLB72A: Used for the production of high-voltage cable ground wires and aluminum-clad steel wires for OPEW optical fiber bundle composite overhead ground wires.
- C. SWRH42A, SWRH62A, SWRH72A, SWRH72B: Used to make steel wire ropes, aluminum-clad steel wire, rubber hose steel wire, fishing net line, etc.
Divided by quality: ordinary carbon steel, high-quality carbon steel, high-grade high-quality carbon steel. The national standard for ordinary carbon structural steel (GB700-1988) stipulates that the grade of carbon structural steel consists of the following four parts:
- Yield strength letter Q: Yield strength.
- Yield strength value in MPa.
- Quality grade symbols: A, B, C, and D grades increase sequentially from A to B.
- Symbol of deoxidation method: F — boiling steel; B — semi-killed steel; Z — killing static steel; TZ — special killed steel. Z and TZ are omitted.
For example: Q235AF — indicates grade A boiling steel with a yield strength of 235 MPa. Commonly used grades: 10# 15# 20# 45# 50# 90#, Q195, Q235, Q275, Q355, Q450, Q550, Q690.
Galvanized Wire Rod
The galvanized wire is made of high-quality low-carbon steel wire rod. It is made of high-quality low-carbon steel, which has been drawn and formed, pickled and derusted, high-temperature annealed, and hot-dip galvanized. Processed by cooling and other processes.
Galvanized wire is divided into hot-dip galvanized wire and cold-dip galvanized wire (electro-galvanized wire). The difference between galvanized wire rod and stainless steel wire rod:
- Stainless steel wire is black and bright, while galvanized wire is white and bright. You can tell by looking at the color.
- If you find a magnet with magnetism, it is electroplated wire. Hot-dip galvanized wire is made by dipping the piece to be plated into molten zinc liquid. Electroplating involves dipping the parts to be plated into zinc sulfate or zinc nitrate solution.
- The hot-dip galvanized zinc layer is thick but not always uniform, sometimes with small zinc tumors that are not as bright as electroplating. Galvanized wire has stronger corrosion resistance than electroplated wire and is slightly more expensive. The coating of electro-galvanized wire is thin but uniform and brighter than hot-dip galvanized wire.
Stainless Steel Wire Rod
Stainless steel wire, also known as stainless steel wire, is a variety of silk products of different specifications and models made of stainless steel. Common stainless steel wires with good corrosion resistance and high cost performance are 304 and 316 stainless steel wires. Stainless steel wire drawing (stainless steel wire drawing) involves applying drawing force to pull the wire rod or wire blank through the die hole of the wire drawing die to produce small-section steel wire or non-ferrous metal wire. Wires of different cross-sectional shapes and sizes of various metals and alloys can be produced by drawing. The drawn wire has precise size and a smooth surface, and the drawing equipment and molds used are simple and easy to manufacture.
The chemical composition of stainless steel wire rod for welding is different from that of general stainless steel wire rod. To ensure its excellent welding performance and improve the quality of the weld seam, the composition of stainless steel wire rod for welding has low carbon content, few toxic impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus, and relatively high nickel and chromium content. It is mainly used to make electric welding cores, gas shielded welding wires, submerged arc welding wires, and electroslag welding wires. The material is divided into austenite type, martensite type, ferrite type, and precipitation hardening type according to the structural state. Martensitic type, one of the microstructure types of steel, has high carbon content, which increases the strength and hardness of steel and improves its corrosion resistance.
Metal Mesh
The metal mesh is a kind of reinforcement structure combined with bolts and shotcrete support. The tensile strength of the shotcrete layer can be significantly increased, and a single bolt can be changed into a group-bolt system, which enhances the binding force of the support layer to the rock wall. Metal mesh comes in two forms: pre-fabricated metal mesh and on-site prepared metal mesh.
- Roll-shaped area: Height: 1m, 1.2h, 1.5h, 2.0h, wire diameter: 0.8 mm – 5.0 mm, mesh: 8 mm – 60 mm, roll length: 30 m per roll, material: 201, 304, 316.
- Sheet area: 1m wide, 2m long, wire diameter: 2.0-5.0 mm, mesh area: 20-100 mm, material: 201, 304, 306 stainless steel.
Stainless Steel Mesh
Stainless steel mesh is a type of regularly arranged mesh product made of stainless steel wire and stainless steel plate. It is mainly used for screening and filtering under acidic and alkaline environment conditions, as mud mesh in the petroleum industry, as sieve filter mesh in the chemical fiber industry, as pickling mesh in the electroplating industry, and for gas, liquid filtration, and other media separation.
Generally, stainless steel mesh, nickel wire, and brass wire are used as materials. The weft wires of the wire-woven dense mesh are densely arranged, with five methods of weaving: plain weave, twill weave, plain Dutch weave, twill Dutch weave, and reverse Dutch weave.
Stainless steel mesh is classified by variety:

Material: SUS302, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 310s. Stainless steel is heat-resistant, acid-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and wear-resistant. These characteristics make stainless steel mesh widely used in mining, chemical, food, petroleum, pharmaceutical, and other industries for gas, liquid filtration, and other media separation.
Galvanized Steel Wire Mesh
Galvanized steel wire mesh is made of high-quality low-carbon steel wire, processed by automatic equipment for spot welding, and then surface-treated by the galvanizing process. Galvanized expanded metal mesh is a type of expanded metal mesh made from galvanized steel sheets, which are stretched by stamping. The surface of ordinary low-carbon steel sheets is coated with a layer of metal zinc to prevent corrosion and extend the life of the expanded mesh.
Galvanized wire mesh is often used as fences, pet fences, vegetable protection nets, construction safety nets, decorative nets, and in various industries for filtration, filtration, and decoration.
